Thermal Efficiency

An important fact is that double glazed windows and doors can vary widely in thermal performance due to the components used in their construction, such as the type of frame and insulated glass unit (IGU) as well as the presence of seals, additional insulation and the type of hardware.

Noise control and acoustic performance

In addition to the frame and sash gaskets, acoustic performance of a window or door system can be substantially improved through the correct selection of the insulated glass unit (IGU), which consists of thicker laminated glass and wider spacers.

Glass and security

Selecting the right type of glass at the design stage will allow you to achieve the desired level of comfort, safety and thermal efficiency. Laminated glass, for example, can eliminate the need for ancillary products such as security doors and external shutters.

FAQ
Why thermally broken aluminium doors?

Aluminium is an excellent conductor of heat and cold. To combat this, aluminium frames have an in-built polyamide thermal break insulation that dramatically reduces heat and cold transfer between the outside and the inside. Thermally broken aluminium frames can outperform basic aluminium frames by over two times.

What is window & door glazing?

Window and door glazing is installing insulated glass units into the frame; it is frequently performed on-site during frame installation. From the installation point of view, glazing frames on-site is a quicker and safer process because it allows us to install the frames, which are much lighter, and then install the heavy glass.

What colours are available?

Our thermally broken aluminium profiles can be powder coated in a range of Australian and international scheme colours, including Colorbond, Interpon, Dulux and RAL

What window and door types are available?

Our range includes all types of inward and outward opening windows including tilt and turn, awning, casement, tilt only, sliding, pivot, Cedar colonial doors, and fixed windows as well as inward, outward, french, bi-fold, sliding doors, and premium lift and slide doors.

What is a lift and slide door?

The lift and slide Aluminium sliding doors allow its maximum panel to lift off its track and enable it to open or close smoothly. It is a premium sliding door system designed to achieve wide spans with more glass, floor-to-ceiling heights, and better thermal efficiency in comparison to other range sliding systems.

Lift and slide Aluminium sliding doors can accommodate up to 400kg while still providing effortless, one-hand sliding of such a heavy door.

Why aluminium Sliding Doors?

If you have little space and you want to open up your home to the patio or garden outdoors, aluminium sliding doors are an excellent option to save up on valuable space and make your home more roomy and spacious.

Can Cedar doors be thermally insulated?

Cedar doors are made of natural wood, so naturally they don’t possess thermal insulation properties. But, with a thermal break system incorporated into their system, they can be thermally insulated. This way, the energy efficiency of your doors would also be improved and it would also prevent the energy loss.

However, this is a challenging process and needs the careful consultation of an experienced door manufacturer and supplier.

How much is an aluminium sliding door?

The average cost of aluminium sliding door depends on your personal needs and style of frame. There are standard sized windows, single panel frames aluminium doors range from $150 to $250. Whereas, large, double panel frames usually cost about $700 and over.

What are the disadvantages of aluminium doors?

There are a few disadvantages of aluminum doors. For example, they oxidize with time and leaves a white residue. They also corrode easily if measures are not taken against electrolysis.

What is the Aluminium sliding doors maximum height?
